subject of piracy in Southern Chinese waters I am directed
by Secretary bir d. Grey to transmit to you herewith copy
of a despatch from Bir J. Jordan reporting a conversation
with Admiral li concerning the measures which should be
taken in the matter.
Subject to the concurrence of the Lords Commissioners
of the Admiralty Sir D. Groy proposes to approve the
language held by Sir J. Jordan on this occasion.
